Open-eyed Investigation of the Visual Field

This Tuesday we’re going to explore doing insight meditation on the visual field. Doing so can help break us out of overly conceptual modes of visual perception, give rise to insights about how visual perception works, and move us closer to raw sensory experience. Such work can also teach us more about the impermance of visual objects as we go.

We’re going to be getting down to business with this all by employing a kasina practice as a warm up and then an open eyed noting technique.
