Is the antithesis because you aren&#8217;t actually doing anything. You\naren&#8217;t applying any special mental\/attentional moves. You aren&#8217;t trying to be\nhighly concentrated or mindful. Nothing. However, doing nothing doesn&#8217;t come\neasy to people. Most of the time, there is an insistent desire to modify\nexperience; to curate the content of consciousness. Yet it is the epitome of\nmeditation because it retrains the mind to be able to just be with whatever is.\nWith this technique, over time, the organism learns to be able to downregulate\nthe circuits involved in efforting and intention setting, resulting in less\nselfing, less suffering and eventually even Nibb\u0101na\/Nirvana (the extinguishing\nof a flame).<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-size:10.5pt;font-family:&quot;Arial&quot;,sans-serif;\nmso-fareast-font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;;color:#3C4858\">\nThe instructions for the technique are: &#8220;Let whatever happens, happen.
