This will allow us to tie together all those other meditation terms that pop up everywhere like clinging, dropping the ball, contraction, letting be, craving, aversion, etc. What we attempt to do with the mind is simple as a concept, and as a skill once we learn how, but often hard to learn as a practice. This has resulted in such a plethora of ways of talking about it. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Roger spoke last week about sending metta to sensations we don&#8217;t find pleasant and how that can help reduce suffering. You might logically think (or have thought) that such an idea sounds ridiculous, what are we doing by wishing sensations well or attempting to befriend them?
